Directions

Holiday on the Peloponnese is a holiday for individualists. It has been preserved from mass tourism.
The green island in the land of the Gods with a view of the interminable sea.
The view is gigantic. The sunsets are unforgettable.
Surrounded by a mountain panorama, the villa is on an elevation with an unobstructed view of the long, secluded beaches of Kyparissia near Zaharo.
Excursions to the antique. Many go to Olympia or to the Vasses Temple, known as Apollo, the Frankish Burg in Kyparissia, excursions to the Mani, Mistra, Katakoo and a lot more, something for everyone.
Kalo Nero 3 km from your domicile, a small fishing village, now a nice recreational city with taverns, cafes directly on the beach. Shopping facilities, bakeries, butchers, fresh fruit and a lot more, just a few minutes by car.
Beaches and the sea, enjoy the crystal-clear water. For swimmers, children – everyone will find their ideal place. Fishing is allowed.
On the street to Kyparissia, you will find supermarkets like Lidl, Carrefour and a lot of other shopping facilities.
The regional markets invite you to walk and try. Roasted pig, spit-roast, salad and tzaziki, sweets are often in abundance. Fresh fruit, vegetables, fragrant herbs from the region at low prices for all cooking fans.
Cooks love the popular, first-class olive oil from Kalamata and the surrounding area.

Land of the gods: The Peloponnese in classical times: The Franchthi caves in the Argolis is the oldest place in Greece where prehistoric findings were made (starting 15,000 B.C.). In ancient times, Peloponnese was the centre of the Mycenaean culture, which had an abrupt end around 1100 B.C. In addition to the Dorians, the Achaeans spent their time in the northwest. In the classical time under the leadership of Sparta and his Peloponnese federation, it was controlled by the Arcadia Federation after the fall of the Spartans in the battle of Leuctra 371 B.C. After the Macedonia leadership, parts of Peloponnese in the Achaean Federation came together, which was broken up 146 B.C. by the Romans after the destruction of Corinth. At the end of the late antique period, large parts of the peninsula were settled by penetrating Slavic groups (see the taking of land by Slavic individuals in the Balkans). After centuries of belonging to Byzanz, the peninsula, which is now called Morea or Morée, was taken over in 1204 by the Crusaders.

The antiques: The Apollo Temple from Vassae is in a secluded, sparse mountain region, from which a large white tent was suddenly built. It was used for the protection from further weathering until the final restoration of the temple. It is a wonderfully preserved monument to honour the god Apollo, which was first discovered again in 1765. Epidaurus – antique summer theatre and sites of healing. The amphitheatre from Epidaurus with its wonderful acoustics attracts many visitors every year to the most beautiful pieces of classic Greek theatre. The healing done by the priests in Epidaurus corresponded with that from Lourdes. We would now identify the asklepian sleep cure as a psychotherapeutic process. The healing of sick people was conveniently influenced by dream research and suggestion, mild climate, tranquillity, warm and cold baths, pure water and different herbal medicines. And a lot more:
